Your belt may have snapped due to a sticking accessory (A/C compressor seized, etc). Take the belts off and make sure all pullies spin freely and check the movement of the accessories that have a clutch. The outer pulley may spin, but when the clutch is engaged, the accessory needs to spin freely as well.

Main pulley... as in the one connected to the e-shaft?

I'm just wondering how you know the nosie is coming from that exact pulley. It's the least likely to make any noise since it's bearing is the front main bearing, which is way less prone to failure than the ball bearings in the accesories.

The only thing I can think of making noise at the main pulley would be the oil pump/thrust bearing stack...

Maybe the pulley is loose or cracked?

Check the 4 bolts on the pulley. One time mine sheered a few off, It was wobbling around and causing a crap load of noise.
