TX A/C pulley bearings failing

I've got an 83S, and the bearings on the pulley of the A/C compressor are failing. The cooling system itself seems to works fine. Is there any way to replace just the bearings on the pulley without having to remove/replace the entire compressor. Any cheap solutions out there? Thanks.

Dave

I believe you can replace the bearing, which compressor do you have?
Look through this list and see if the bearing is separate.

http://www.ackits.com/merchant.mvc?S..._Code=diagrams

Call them to see if they can get it .
If not, someone or myself may have a used one for you.

Thanks for that link. I just popped the hood and...it's a Nippondenso 6P134047200-123. From that web site it looks like I just need a BG305 case bearing. Can this be repaired with the compressor in place (without pulling the hoses off the compressor)? I'm REALLY trying to avoid having to replace the costly R12 refrigerant. The last time I did that it was >$100 just for the R12. Or maybe I should just convert to R134?

Thanks again.

I'm pretty sure you can remove the clutch without discharging the system, but I'm not familiar with that compressor, so it wouldn't hurt to ask when you call to see if they (ackits) can get you the bearing.
