if it fit the manifold. but there are more pressing issues at hand. like hows the lag? search for all the info you can on turbos before you start even thinking of puting one on something. if you were to mess it up the wastegate could not work and end up putting like 20lbs of boost down your stock motor and blowing the **** outve it. what kind of car are you talking about?

I am not a very knowledgeable person on turbos but I asume you are refering to put it on a TII. Yes you can ushaly bolt it up if it is not to big for clearance issues. The same is not to be said about the cooling of the turbo you may have to do a little rearanging or new parts here.

If it is to big then a manifold is required. There is another concern I am aware of that you have to consider and thats the waste gate setup.

You Accidently got an 86 GXL? How does one go about doing that? Whoops! I meant to pick up some milk and I brought home an Rx-7!! My bad! (Actually, I wonder if I could slip this one past the girlfriend? )

Either way, Welcome to the forums. You will find the answer to all of your rotary questions here,, make sure you read the FAQ up at the top and all that.

Now, it doesn't sound like you're very familiar with Turboing at all.

I would recommend that you point your browser over to here: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm and take a look. Although not the most technically specific reference you can find, you will want to understand the basic idea of a turbo system, before you start asking questions.

To answer your question: Technically yes, you can make another turbo work if you fit it to the manifolds, or have a manifold made for it. For you, I'd have to say No at this point. If you're asking this question, you're defiantly not ready to take on the project of turboing a N/A motor. There are links in the FAQ to Aaron Cake's write ups about turboing his, as well as an archived thread or two about his experiences as well.
