? about 4 lug potential
i searched with no results...
- how much wheel horsepoer / torque can the 4 lug base models handle?
- who sells oem spec slotted rotors for 4 lug?
- are my options on wide deep dish aftermarket wheels limited on 4 lug? i eventually want to run 30mm front fenders & wide rear quarters with wide tires if possible.

well i know people dont like these things here but... i have heard of a 4 lug base with gxl LSD rear hold a 9 second 350 v8 motor....so if this is true... the 4 lug axles are just as beefy as the 5 lug ones and can hold anything your engine can throw at it, its just the rear end you should worry about...i think.... i also think the steel wheels or phone dials are cool because they give you the ZZZZ look

i'm not sure about the hp/torgue question, but i would think that since you're running a base model (n/a) you wouldnt have to worry about the wheels, without a lot of mods and work, if you're looking to upgrade to that level, you might as well do a 5 lug conversion while your at it...
who sells them.. eh i've seen a lot of sets on ebay, but hell who knows if you can trust those or not.
heh, the wheel question... not sure exactly what you're asking about that, but lets see... a good wheel improvement would be to run old mark II supra wheels they are 15 x 7 i believe, and improve handling a lot..
im sure this doesnt help any, but im bored as hell... lol

when i say 4 lug i mean the actual 4 lug rotors. why go through all of the trouble and extra expense of swapping to 5 lug when the 4 lug work just as good? if they do then all i need is slotted rotors. i will be upgrading to the lsd rear diff. because i do plan on doing the ls1 swap. my main concern was do i really NEED to upgrade to 5 lug or can the 4 lug set up handle the power?

well man it's simple, the wheels can handle the power, the diff. cant.. BUT what i was getting at before was the more power you get, the more speed you get, IE the more stopping power you need, the base model 7's with 4 lug wheels have single piston calipers, whereas the 5lug had 4 piston calipers... so you can see that an upgrade could help you out in that aspect.... but from what i've tried with my base model, you might be able to use brakes from nissans and toyota's, i believe 240sx brakes would work (89-91) might take some adapting, but i think you could get it to work with a little effort, that is.. if you are dead set on keeping the 4lug.

or you could have 5 lug rotors drilled to fit 4 lug hubs, and then bolt the 4 piston FC calipers on no prob. why would you want to use 240sx brakes anyway?

don't know about the power issue though.
