crappy and not recommended. The auto zone alts are typically rebuilt alts(busted parts replaced), not remanufactured (all parts that could fail replaced).

just take it to a shop and have them rebuild it. mine was $80 with a one year warranty and a full rebuild.

took them two days... that's if you don't mind the downtime.

I had several go out with a couple months apart. Got them from various Schucks/Napa ect... Finally doubled down and got a Mazda unit. Years have gone by and it's still putting out great power.

It's more expensive, but I'd go with the factory Mazda unit anyday.

I too have had bad luck with Autozone alternators for other vehicles. I had 3 different one fail on me within a 3 week period. Got one from another source and had no issues at all.

go to advance auto parts, our alternators have the 1 year replacement. I haven't had bad luck with our parts and i buy plenty of parts from my work (advanced auto). Some people do return things on that 1 year replacement or our limited lifetime replacement, but that's usually because something else on their car is causing the failure of the part.

Yea if **** count auto parts can find the right one for you. Before you give up your old one, make sure they give you the right one.
