I called bs b/c the post is obviously full of ****. Did you even read it? How come our Cobra Killer has not come back to defend himself?

Howerever all this is pointless....
Here I will agree. Arguments of semantics are often pointless and will never come to a resolution.
What dictionary was that? I've never seen a dictionary use brackets during a definition.

my point is that we all know what is meant by a turbo header, even if it isn't the correct term for it so why call bs on it?
Again, did you read the post? The guy has no clue.

Just to throw out there:

I've heard a few wrx people reffer to their exhuast mannifold as headers/ up pipe. The exhuast mannifold on the wrx engine is wacky due to the flat four configuration. Two of the runners in the exhuast mannifold have to run way the hell over to the other side where they meet up and then they turbo is mounted there. Pretty strange.

As a helpful hint for the future, I suggest you do a bit of research before attempting a contadicting post.

From dictionary.com:
header: (applicable def'n)
A pipe that serves as a central connection for two or more smaller pipes.

manifold: (applicable def'n)
A pipe or chamber having multiple apertures for making connections.

Now, a header serves as a connection between two pipes, whereas a manifold is hollow chamber or pipe with a surface for making connections.

A "turbo header" is not possible, since a turbo is not a pipe. However, an N/A header can be considered both a header and a manifold.

While vernacular slang may be accepted in the automotive backyard, true definition explains it as a fallacy.

I just picked away at your post too... see, it is my job here to bring reality to the forum, and pick apart the fallacies.... just ask Jimmy.

*cough* SCHOOLED *cough*

Its from miriam-webster online.

The guy may be bsing but i wouldnt run around saying bs! bs! when someone claims to have a header on a turbo car.

You know as well as i do what is meant by a turbo header and theres no reason to say its not possible.

Ok, well then can everyone thrash on him for drag racing an engine that hasn't been properly broken in yet?

I think he was just refering to his exhaust manifold as headers, It's not the first time I have seen it. Anyways, I think you guys scared him off. I don't see what he would have to gain by lying seeing as this is a message board and no one knows who he is anyways.

Why because people like my roomate make pretend that they have a TII and post on www.ubrf.com with my name (johan) and my car with all its mods. he doesn't own it........I do. I built the ******. However, he claims it as his and makes up stories about racing vettes. It's callled "pathological lying"

too many loop holes in this guys story to believe him. I've been to Bithlo and have yet to see this guy. i met Kabooski though.

The WRX is a totally different beast than a 7. I have yet to see him at the track.

don't get me wrong it's a good story, and you should write more fiction.

i don't know what kind of crap you all are talking but i don't think you can run 18 pounds of boost on a 13b with out some serious internal mods so if thats the case then i bet you did beat a svt but you also spent about 10,000 dollars on your internals as alone

Just like I kept being told my 90 N/A wouldn't hold a 125 shot of Nitrous. Ha no problem. 18lbs of boost. Sure I know a few people running it on stock internals.

Maybe yuo should take care of your engine and you won't blow it up.

yeah, the up-pipe connects the turbo to somethingorother, can't remember, but it's basically a restriction, as it's an extra cat in the way of things. however, the pipe looks nothing like an exhaust manifold. it's like a 5" pipe with a cat in the middle of it. how about you guys quit your pissing match about eachother's grammar and who can read the dictionary best. this is obviously bs, unless the guy spent like, 10,000 like dollars on his like internals, duh (i bet he's regretting that post right now)
i've got a new question for you guys, why do people write this bullshit? why do they feel compelled to lie to look like a badass? the first step of recovery from being a loser is recognizing you're a loser, not lying about beating a cobra.

Boost doesn't mater. Its how much hp you are pushing at a certain boost level with a certain turbo.

A to4b hybrid, would definetly have to be on race gas 110octane or so to safely run 18psi with that kind of turbo. A t04b hybrid @18psi (granted every other fuel mod is in place) should net over 350-400rwhp depending on engine porting.....yayaya...

But, i do agree with you....post seems a little bs to me. A new cobra with mods would be one hell of a car to kill running right, even if he had his mods.
