91 Fc convertible headlight motor

Okay, so im new to this site, and im having a hard time finding anyone who is dealing with the same problems i am, so my right passenger side headlight wont go up. I can manually put it up, and once i turn the switch to put them down, it goes down. But wont come back up. Also, does anyone know why there are different types of set ups for the levers for turn signals, cruise control, and headlights? Like ive seen different versions where the 2 levers are connected to the steering wheel clam shell and other versions where its apart of the dash? Is there anyway i can convert mine from the clam shell to the dash set up? Im asking because the previous owner to my fc somehow broke the blinker lever and the right lever(im not sure what it was for) is completely gone.

the 1990-1991 convertibles have a different headlight/wiper switch because of the airbag that was added just for these.
the non airbag switches will physically fit, but i'm not sure how different the wiring is.

You might also check for electrical continuity in the wires leading from the switch to the light. See page T-24 in the FSM
