prob the vdi... but the way you talk you aren't going to get very helpful responses... did you really have to type "uhm"??... and to tell you the truth a gsr probably would beat one of us even if we were running right (stock)...

My honest advice to you is read some more... get a haynes manual and read it, along with the rest of the stuff here.
Also without more information we cant help you...

Wow, when I hit 6000 my takes off like a jet, 1990 FC3C n/a. Go to top of page and read, then read, then read some more, and then read once more, and you will discover everything, even who really shot J.F.K.

do the easy fixes first, change plug wires, fuel filter, stuff like if you haven't done so, also check grounding wires, and or add more sometimes a lose ground will make the car do weird stuff. if that doesn't work post again and someone should be able to help you, if not pm and i'll try to help you out

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Probably a stuck closed VDI valve.
The VDI valve changes the inatke runner length based on RPM and load.
Take it apart and clean it.
And please use real titles that actually have a problem when posting, and do not start multiple threads on a the same subject.

I'm gonna take a guess and figure you're new to cars in general and probably under 18.
You need to spend a LOT of time in here reading and searching for older threads that have covered your problem. Search "VDI" or "vadiable dynamic intake" and you should get plenty of threads about it. This forum is very large and has thousands of memebers. Whatever your topic is, its likely been discussed before. The VDI is in the UIM and is not where the stock intake filter is at. Please take a look at the FAQ the moderators have put up and you will find what a lot of the acronyms (sp?) stand for and a lot more information about the FC Rx-7 in general.

You should read the FSM (factory service manual) : http://www.rx7city.com/techconnect.htm
And seriously, read the rx-7 FAQ's. It sounds like you really need a lot more background info... "that thingie that sucks in air" is not confidence inspiring.
Maybe you should decide whether or not you have the abilities or the will to fix your own car first before you start dismantling.
