ok i had a blown motor, just replaced it with a good running used motor.. now the engine light was on before the swap.. ran the codes, came back with crank angle sensor and trailing coil.. and now even after the swap i get the same thing.. ive checked the connections.. swapped out the coils, distributor.. no change now the car runs fine, and the light turns off after it starts moving.

any ideas? thanks for any help!!

clear the code and drive it around.

if it comes back on then there might be a problem.

but if all is good, like you say, then forget about it.
