Question 90 injector help??

New here! My brother bought a 90 RX7 from a friend at work. The engine had a blown seal, so he ordered a new one from Mazda. We were installing it yesterday,
and dropped one of the injectors. Called Mazda this morning and they want $300 each!!! For my Turbo Dodge I can get the whole set cheaper!! Anyway, does someone know where we can get a set cheaper, or aftermarket upgrade maybe?? He only paid $500 for the car, and it has 152,xxx miles. Any help is appreciated!!

Craig W

PS. This is our 1st rotary engine!! ANY HELP is MUCH appreciated!! We're use to V8s, Turbo dodges and diesels!!!!

try junkyards around, all 89-91 Non Turbo injectors will work for you

otherwise move it to for sale/wanted section

Question

So the primary and secondary injectors are the same??
I was looking at RC Engineering web page, they have decent prices but I don't know what ohm and flow rate
the injectors are. Thanks..

Primary and secondary are the same....460CC for NA, 550CC for turbo. You can retrofit earlier injectors if necessary.

Thanks!!!

RC Engineering sells 440cc/min injectors with 12/16ohms resistance. Would these work ok? Or should he find 460cc/min? Or can he run 550cc/min for possible future updates??

Checked out your website! Lots of good info!!!

NO, NONE OF IT WILL WORK.
LOOK AT YOUR PLUG - IT'S THE HARDER TO FIND OVAL STYLE.
GO CALL THOSE SHOPS AND ASK THEM WHAT KINDA PLUGS ARE ON THOSE "CHEAP" INJECTORS - MOST LIKELY THEY ARE SQUARE OR RECTANGLE.

WHY AM AI YELLING AT YOU?

Cause people have all provided information, but you are ignoring all of it.

I don't see where ALL the information was provided. The 1st reply advied go to a junkyard. My brother and I aren't JU type of people. Then Aaron Cake gave me the flow rates, but I still didn't know what the ohms were. But he did confirm that pri/sec were the same. And I have NO idea what you're talking about when you say
square or rectangle. The car is TWO hours away from me. Makes it a little tough to just run outside and look.
But we've gotten it resolved now. He's sending the injectors to RC Engineering to have them cleaned. He should have them back by the end of the week. To the folks that tried to answer my questions, thanks.

Why do you even want to replace them? Just get them serviced.

Arrow That's what he's doing....

now. He called RC Engineering. Told them he dropped one and broke the tip. The guy said they could fix/replace just that one and service the rest. He's sending them off today, should have them back by Friday. Might have the car running this weekend. Next weekend at the latest.
