S5 TurboII's (and S4's) are mid 14 second cars stock, and modded mid 13 second cars before they need fuel upgrades (full intake and exhaust running 10 or 11 lbs). If mine running 5 lbs can run 13.75, I'm sure others can run much quicker with another 5 psi.
Look around in the archives of the forum or any other site (teamfc3s, nopistons etc...) Most stock t2's run low 15's. Maybe 15 years ago they run high 14's who knows. Maybe the cat was clogged. Maybe my motor has slightly lower compression. Maybe my turbo was worn out. Fact is most t2's I see run low 15's. I've noticed some occasional freak stock t2's that run mid - high 14's but I wouldn't call that the norm.

Your car still boggles my mind, and I have no idea at all how you could run a 13.75@ only 5 pounds. I can only ponder that you're boost guage is giving a faulty reading. Maybe not, but you're car is certainly a freak. I ran a 13.8@104 on 10 pounds of boost.

The original argument was stock for stock, not mod for mod. No doubt it's very easy to pick up power on the t2 with simple bolt ons, as it is for any turbo car. That, however; was not the original topic of discussion. Belive what you may, but stock for stock the two cars aren't going to be very far apart.

Stock for stock it'll tear the GSR a new one. Get real. Let's see.. near 200 ft-lbs torque vs 130-140 ft-lbs torque.. peak horsepower does crap for you if during the rest of the powerband it's got no torque.

Although the GS-R is fairly "torquey" for a 1.8L, it's nowhere near the TurboII.

As for my car, I've uploaded the timeslips, and raced a guy local who's running 10-11 lbs and I stayed dead even with him. He still had the precat though.

I don't know what's up, but one place I think the problem lies, is running any more than 8 lbs on the stock turbo must be pushing its limits, and 5 lbs leaves a nice cool charge, and leaving much over it doesn't give a huge gain as would be with a bigger turbo. Maybe.. I dunno.. that's just my guess.

I quit. I've owned both cars. I know how fast each one was. Believe whatever you want.

hey think about this, it all depends on the driver. and how well the car has been takin care off. some gsr might be faster then TII, and some TII might be faster than a gsr. all u can go by is the factory specs, or soemthing like road and track or car and driver.

i really dont know why ppl are arguing about this, there are way to many variables, age of vehicles are one of them.

GSR??

my friend has a stock T11 with exhaust and stock everything else. Engine just fully rebuilt around 3ks ago and his taken out by like 7-8 car lengths and INTEGRA TYPE R. They raced 4 times and the t11 kept on beating IT.

why wont this thread die?!

everyone knows that a TII will generally beat a gsr. unless some weird variables come into play.

Well, whenever I see a ricer in a GS-R, I stomp them HARD. When their g/f or wangsta friends are in the car, I add insult to injury, lol. They're not that fast, like 99% of Hondas. If Hondas are so cheap to make fast, why are there a handfull of fast ones at Bandimere Speedway, and hundreds of 16-17 second cars? Cars that I feel are fair races for me are Camaros, Mustangs, MR-2s, DSMs, etc..

So have I, and my S5 TurboII when it was STOCK running only 5 lbs boost (less than S4 levels) was WAY faster than my GS-R.
