ok i have a 89 convertible rx-7 and im having major problems considering she only has 70k on her....i give it gas and and just chokes and bucks... i can get rpms to slowly raise if i ease the gas but it spit terribly... i brought it to a regular garage because no rotary garages in my area and they told me it was the oil metering pump which is $2070.95 at the dealer ship, a frined of mine dosnt think its that and they just told me tht becuase they dont know and couldnt fix it .....any help???? please

If its the oil metering pump, you should be getting a check engine light. It should also not be an instant deal..... but after like 10 minutes of driving, well usually. Are you getting a check engine light? Be more specific and we can help you out! When does it buck? When it's warming up? All the time? Any modifications? It could be several issues, and being more specific will help us answer your question.

If the omp is out it will go into limp mode with in 15 Saconds or so.
If you want to be sure let your car get warmed up start driving and turn the key off then back on, you should have a 10 second window were you could redline and go wide open throttle(although i wouldnt go all the way there)
i won a race vs my friends 1st gen, turning the car off and on after every shift
i am now rebuilding that motor, apex seal fell out.

If you pull the codes (see FAQ for a link to the FSM for instructions) you will probably see that the metering oil pump has failed.
A new one is expensive, but they are commonly available used. Check the for sale section of this forum, eBay, and the local wreckers.
Swapping it is a simple operation. You will probably want to replace the lines at the same time, which requires removal of the upper intake manifold.

Find out what CEL it is, it probably is the OMP......
If it is REPLACE IT IMMEDIATELY! DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR, EVEN IF YOU PRE-MIX!!!!! The only reason I say so is that you may fry your ECU with an OMP out, this can happen in different ways and lead to further component failure without your noticing it until it is way, way, way too late. I am of course referring to a s5, which you have. Get it done, you can find one on here for very cheap, you already have two offers!
