CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE STOCK SIZE OF A EXHAUST HOUSING FOR A 89-91 TURBO. IM THINKING OF SENDING IT TO TURBONETICS AND HAVE THEM INSTALL A T04 COMPRESSER HOUSING AND WHATEVER WHEEL THEY PUT ON. HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD ANY GOOD OR BAD THINGS ABOUT THIS TURBO UPGRADE? WHAT HP CAN I EXPECT.

 

if you want to upgrade the compresser wheel you should start with the 89-91 turbo and manifold. I don't know the exhaust size but it's bigger then the 87-88 one. you will have more boost creep with un upgraded comp. wheel. you will also need more fuel and you are going to want a FMIC. an upgraded turbo should be good for 300 RWHP aslong as you have the fuel. (f-con will not be enough. you will need bigger injectors.)

 

you'd be better off with a CT26 turbo from a SW20 MR2 running a 3S-GTE engine, the turbo in stock form is good for 330hp on a 13B

 

Nice info HWO! This is the first I have heard of stock turbo that is good TII upgrade-good low buck performance. Does that CT26 fit on TII manifold? Adapter needed?
