88t2 turns off after 2 redline pulls?

Unhappy 88t2 turns off after 2 redline pulls?

hey everyone, i cant understand what is happening to my 88t2. i took my 7 out today. i would do a redline pull in 2nd then shift to third and pull to red line then the car turns off when i take the car out of gear and coast whats going on with my car. i just did a comp test and all faces of the motor were between 105-110. thanks in advance

no it starts just fine and idles at a steady 850-900 rpms

Hmmm.... I was going to suggest a TPS issue before you mentioned it starts and idles fine. Might be worth it to check out the TPS anyway, they like to do weird stuff.

That wouldn't be a bad idea. My friends car had a similar problem, he would redline it and then put it in neutral and the car would die. Turned out he had an injector that would get stuck and flood the motor.

If the motor was flooded after it died I would take a look at your injectors.

hey i just went out to see if the car is still dieing after two consecutive red line pulls. yeah its still just shuts off. any idea what is going on with my car?

the strainer is attached to your fuel pump. it lets only fuel go through the pump.

that might be clogged up as someone was tryin to say above, go through your trunk area and check the strainer to see if it looks like fuel can flow through it.

check your dashpot on the TB. It makes sure throttle plates don't shut abruptly when you let of the throttle. Also calibrate your TPS and make sure there are no vacuum leaks.
