88 Turbo Vamum connection question

Ok, got my new motor installed and car runs great, however, my boost gauge, and AVC-R were not responding properly to throttle response, very slow. so I thought I had a leak. Well, looking at the engine there's two vacum tap off points, one towards the radiator, and one towards the passenger compartment, well, I moved all my connections to the vacum connection that goes to the BOV (the rear vacum connection) and everything works great now. Can I now get a ACV blockoff plate and get rid of that whole valve and vacume port?? Right now I just plugged the line there that use to go to my boost gauge and pressure sensor.

My guess is that port is clogged or something, don't really know.

any inputs?

A bit more specific would be nice, even pics? There are a lot of vacuum nipples on the turbo motor, so its hard to say what youre talking about, unless youre comparing the stock BOV(rearward) nipple and the stock boost sensor nipple(part of ACV).

Yes, I just did this. It doesnt make sense though, they both run off the same thing...a primary intake runner. There is nothing in between either, unless someone removed and reinstalled the ACV sometime and got something like sealant inside that port. Take it off and see.
