88 isn't getting any fuel???

88 isn't getting any fuel???

tmy car hasnt started up yet and i toke off the top fuel hose that s on the driver side in the engine and hite the gas and no gas came out so i'am asuming that my 88 isnt getting any fuel. i think its ether the fuel pomp or the fuel filter.
how can i finde out witch one is broken?

When you say you "hit the gas" do you mean that you pressed on the gas pedal expecting fuel to come out of the gas line? lol

The fuel pump only works when the car is...
Cranking (turning over with the key)
Running (once the car has started the AFM will tell the pump to stay on)
Jumping the FP test connector. There is a yellow connector on the passenger
side between the airbox, and the strut tower. It has 2 wires going to it. If you put
a jumper wire in those two sockets in the plug, the Fuel Pump will run all the time when
the key is on.

confusing me as well.. there is no fuel applied by simply hitting the gas pedal..
