87 turbo II

Hey guys, I'm new here, and am looking at a 1987 Turbo. It has 184,000 miles on it, and seems to be in really good condition. It runs well, and drives well. It has the original engine, no major overhauls and is bone stock. My question is would this be a good investment for $2000? And how much longer can I expect the motor to last? I know that they are usually not expected to last much longer than 175000 miles. And last, how much might a stock engine rebuild cost?

your help is greatly appreciated

184,000 on the original Turbo engine? Absolutely amazing. The guy/girl must have taken very good care of the car.

I would look towards a rebuild in the future. Send the block off to a rebuilder (like maybe Kevin Landers, only name I can come up with quick) and get a fresh motor for 1500ish. Do it before you blow it.

If they managed to get the stock Turbo motor to 184,000... who knows how well they took care of that car. Must be beautiful.
