Well in the diagram of the alternator I have there is a orange/ light blue wire coming from terminal A and that connects to a battery junction box? And the green/red wire coming from terminal l is going to the instrument cluster so where is the ignition wire go to?

Okay... That orange/light blue wire may go to the "B+" terminal, like the "A" terminal does in the first photo. And then the green/red wire "L" terminal most likely goes to the black/white wire in your S4 harness plug, pictured in second picture.

You may need someone to confirm this, though. I don't want to be the reason that your $69 alternator got ruined.

Ok that makes alittle sense but then would I not have a voltage gauge?

You should still have a voltage gauge.

A ground end?... What do you mean by that?

And I am not totally sure about your alternator. It is definitely different from the Taurus alternator that you should have. Didn't you read those threads with the information for the specific year alternator?

Like do I have to put one of those circle metal ends on the end of the wire so it can ground just like the B+ wire?

I wouldn't ground any wire on that alternator. Most all alternators get the ground for their internal circuits thru the alternators mating with the engine itself through the attach brackets for the alternator. All RX are like that. No need for extra ground wire etc.

Why not write down the model of your alternator and yr car it was originally meant for and or take a picture of the back of YOUR alternator where the wires attach.

He has pictures of it on the first page. I think he also had mentioned the year somewhere.

My question was, do i have to put a copper lug on the end of the orange/ light blue wire and connect it to the b+ terminal?

I want to say yes. But I've not seen that particular Taurus alternator hooked up on an FC. Like I said before... I don't want to be the reason your alternator is damaged or causes damage to your electrical system. If you're going to hook that wire to the B+ terminal, then yes, use a ring terminal.
