'86 Turbo Exhaust

I;m looking into getting a 1986 turboII rx7. It has been rebuilt by Mariah Motorspots like 30k ago. I live in so-cal and turbos are really rare so im lucky to find it in my own town. The guy wants 4k for the car. But my question is when i look on the racing beat site, it says its turboback exhaust is only for 87-up and not for 86. Im not sure if it would work for a 86 or not? also things like a fCD dosn work for a 86 eaitther? will these really not work and also, are there any other things that will not work for a 86 turbo and will for the 87-up?

physically yes the car was made in 86. But it's actually considered a 87 TII. ( thats the way mine is) Or the car was originally an 86 N/A that was converted to a Turbo. In that case make sure the whole drivetrain was converted to TII. If you have any thing you can't figure out . Contact Mariah Motorsports they should have a record.....

I see that you are new to the rx7 club. Welcome
The best thing you can do is search the archives and sticky's for answers. there is a **** load of info hear.. good luck

The reason that the parts say that is because TII's began selling here in 87. Therefor as long as you have a TII I think it will fit with out a problem.
