Did the 86 RX7 GXL have ABS? Im buying one and i was wondering.

I've got an '86 sales brochure right here and ABS is not listed anywhere as an option.

Brakes are listed as power-assisted, dual diagonal hydraulic circuits. They barely mention the GXL's four-piston front brakes, calling them heavy duty ventilated disc brakes.

I don't think the ABS became available until '88. And keep in mind that ABS isn't everything it's touted to be.

 

ABS didn't become available as an option on the GXL or T2 until the 87 model year
