86-91 RX-7 Complete Dual Drive Belt Pulley Kit With NEW Stainless Alternator Nut

I have a question maybe some of you will know. Is the SR Motorsports 86-91 RX-7 Complete Dual Drive Belt Pulley Kit With NEW Stainless Alternator Nut for the n/a or turbo rx7... or both? Is there any one's a lil cheaper but just as good?

racingbeat sells some lightened pulleys.

they're under "cooling system" on their website.

For a lightweight pulley set with the looks to match.
Honestly, how much does a stock pulley weight, 3 pounds?

Gilmer drive sure does turn heads as people hear the low whir as you pass them on the street.
Why would I want my car to whir?

Plus zero slippage all the way up to blistering high RPM's that rotaries see.
The stock pulleys were designed to handle the "blistering high RPM's".

My opinion, waste of money.

I think the stock pulley weighs less than that? Heh. But nah, the Gilmer drive set IS really, really bad ***. I would want it on my car.

Stock pullies are meant to have lots of surface area to cover those "blistering high RPM's"...removal of air pump + power steering + AC = a lot less surface area for the belt to grab on. These are awesome.

+1 for Gilmer set. I have yet to get it but have heard great things about them.

You could also go to the auto or hardware store and ask for a 3L220 belt. You can keep your single alternator belt with this. It goes around the waterpump/crank.

Its not the pulleys, its the HUB that weights over 1 pound...
