that's a vicious 1 guard! naw, its most likely the light. my head really shines when i have a lightbulb over my head (hrmm, thats not a figure of speach). i have a bright lightbulb in my room and if i look in the mirror it shows the scalp real well. hrmm, nice turbo2 (i cant stay on topic).

tach working sometimes = trailing coil failing

fuel gauge working sometimes = fuel sender failing

drivers side window not going up without help = needs silicon lube in the track
not going up at all = switch problem
(if it makes noise but won't go up, then it's a motor problem.. the little gear in the motor has either moved out of place or is stripped and needs to be replaced)

anyways, NICE car.

the drivers window goes down, but not up.. i took a meter to it and the switch is bad.. you have to jump the drivers switch to the pass switch and it goes up.. so for now it remains up.

it has 115k on the chassis about 400 miles on a atkins rebuild.. paid 3700, thought it was a fair price. stock except for an act 6 puck clutch (grabs really quick.. gotta get used to it heh)

anyways thanks for the compliments!

I think your switch is just corroded- cleaned mine up yesterday- same symptoms as yours- and now it works great. Take it apart (three screws. one on each end, one in the middle) and there are two little metal "rocker" contacts for each window. take them out, being careful not to lose em, and go over the ends where they make contact with some sandpaper, then hit the little contacts in the switch housing. That should do the trick. Failing that, I see them on ebay all the time.

Take good care of that se7en!!!

Tach working sometimes could also be a grounding problem. Mine did this (although I had other charging problems as well) when my engine to firewall ground fried out. I replaced it with a beefy ground, and problems solved.

ok.. heh if i dont use the gas to start the car (i have to give it like 1/3 throttle if the car is warm to get it to kick) the tach works.. but if i use the gas the tach raises to 2k then drops to 0 and stays there.. wierd stuff. i took some more pics though will post in a min.

and all those chips on the hood.. are well chips. but when i bought this car i was more concerned with the mechanical aspect then how the paint was (it doesnt look that bad in person but the camera kinda accented all the wrong things)
