75 Shot-o-Nos on J-spec

suppose i put a j-spec in my rx7 (87 tII), other then that that is all stock...... If the motor has good compression, and everything seems to be alright would a 75 wet shot be a danger, i mean i know it is because its NOS but anything other then that???? I just want power NOW!!!
Eventually when i get $$$ i want to put the Exhaust system from
http://www.mazdatrix.com/r-extii.htm
With FCD, and k&N eventually the Stage 2 or 3 from BNR Supercars with proper Fuel/ignition upgrade and all proper electronics.......

And What does everyone think of Waterinjection+Stock-IC?????? when i get the upgraded turbo...

*shrug* I'll prolly buy a rebuild but i just want to know....

hmmmm , well I have heard people say that an engine can handle NPS in up to half of the hp with out it. so I guess it could handle it. the TII has like 180hp(i think) so 75 shot would be ok under that rule. But remember that NOS like anything else High Performance will shorten the engine's life.

yeah, i know it'll shorten the life (75 more hp worth of stress) i just didnt want my engine to EXPLODE the first time i hit it..... I want to go rebuilt, and prolly will, but a jspec is cheaper so i'm seriously considering...

I have a 90 GTU with a Nitrous Express wet system on it. I have ran a 50 shot plenty of times. Just to clarify nitrous does not blow engines. Running lean and not getting enough fuel is what causes engines to blow. As long as you have a good fuel pump you'll be fine, also make sure you're timing is not advanced. If it is it will cause detination. So, to answer you question, running a 75 shot on your car should be ok as long as you have a good fuel system.

rule of thumb for pistons is; 2 degree retard for every 50hp shot.. does the same apply for the rotary..

when I first used my nitrous I had the timing advanced and forgot about it. That is when it was detonating. After I put the timing back to normal it ran fine on nitrous without retarding the timing, but I think I would retard it if I put anything more than a 50 shot
