720cc injector question.

I live in California (SMOG) and Im looking to upgrade to 720cc injectors. If I put in these without a AFC, will they put in more fuel from the start? Is there a way to keep output like stock? I want to know if I will have to tear down the UIM after smog or if I can install with the engine appart before hand.

Thanks!

Are you planning to use them for your secondaries only? If so then it doesnt matter in regards to starting or even revving unless you are at 3800+ rpm under load. If you put them in the primaries yes they will add more fuel, maybe even flood them. For what it's worth a piggy back like an SAFC cannot control them during cranking anyways but the stock ecu cannot tell that they are bigger injectors.

Taking off/putting on the UIM is no big deal you can put them in before or after it doesnt really matter.

youll need a SAFC to manage the fuel ratio, or an e-manage like me, why did you upgrade in the first place, any big mods, or just felt like sucking up the wrath of Katrina's gas prices???

Any time you exceed 3800rpm, yes.

You just answered your own question. You need a fuel controller.

they are secondaries

I havent upgraded yet, but once Im done with smog, Im increasing stock boost, opening the ehuast up and want to make sure theres enough fuel. I also plan to make sure I have a pump that will keep up.

So having them wont effect smog?

If the smog test takes the engine over 3800rpm, yes!

Don't **** around with half-assed mods. Get the injectors and a fuel controller and get it properly tuned.
