7 not running

Hey guys, this is my first post, but i have recently come accross a cheap seven that was running when it was parked a while back, but it no longer runs, any ideas? is there something that usually goes wrong with them after they sit for a while?

one possibly thing I've heard is carbon lock they sit without being run and the carbon gets losse and gets inbetween the seals= loss of compression.

could be a flooded engine to something as bad as a rebuild....if u got a car with a clean body and just a bad motor......it'd be the perfect chance to rebuild and port(more power)

I talked to the guys over at Atkins rotory and they said to spray carbon cleaner into the motor and turn it over. they expressed this could be a leanthy ordeal. I've not personaly done this, but have heard of this bein done and working after.

Yeah.

You never know.

But how cheap is it?

If its 1000, I'd deliberate.

500 or below I'd take it quick. But I'm a mazda nut.

do a search perform the atf trick if the other things dont work and make sure to depressurize the fuel system by unpluging the fuel pump harness the next time you leave it sit. Dont worry to much 9/10 odds you're just flooded. its abit off the pain in the *** but not realy a big deal.

if it's been sitting for awhile, the seals are probably seized and need to be worked free with wd-40 or oil and turned over by hand. if you get it running chances are that it won't last long. if the car is cheap buy it and rebuild the engine.
