7.5k hesistation???

So at WOT when it pulls through the entire rpm just fine until it gets up to 7.5k. It starts to hesistate you can really feel the car start to loose power. And you can hear popping noises come out from the exhaust like its backfiring.

My TPS is out right now because it idles differntly everytime i stop. and sometime it idle hunts.

The car is a 91 N/A only mods I have are RB downpipe,RB presilencer, Corksport Catback.

wow popping noises from the exhaust....that doesnt make any sense all i could think of was cutting off the fuel, like ur 7 is freaking out and cutting off the fuel, but that wouldnt explain the popping noises

sounds like misfiring. i'd take care of the TPS first to see if it clears up the problem

i usually shift at like 7.2 but i tried to bring it to where the shift buzzer hits. I used to be able to do it but now can't.

Defintely gonna change out the TPS. hopefully that will cure it.

Fuel filter clogged? Plugs/Wires? Whens the last time you did a general tune-up?

When I got the car about 15k mileage ago. The guy had a tune up done. I'll go dig for the paper to see what was switched.

I changed the plugs and wires about 9 months ago.

Mine doe this sporadically when my engine is hot up near 6-7k mark. It will kind of just stop..spat...for a split second, and then it'll catch back on. It's weird, but I'm under the impression its my BAC not being hooked up..

sounds like an ignition issue. check your spark plugs first. do a tune up including checking your timing.
if you are running too rich this may also cause ignition misfire especially if something in your ignition system is wrong/weak.

Mine did the same thing and I found that adjusting the AFM resistor clockwise about 1/4 turn fixed it (may have been a fluke.) It also fixed the idle.

The tps makes no difference at WOT (unless it is sticking.)
