.63ar and a 13bt....Anyone run this?

I searched but came up with nothing useful.

I have a t3/t04s 60-1 with a .63ar exhaust and a.70 intake with a 4" in - 2.5 out ("s"housing"). I ran it on a 1.8 liter previously and it was laggy.

I want to try it with my 38mm/40mm hybrid tial wastegate on my FC. I guess the HKS manifold would be the good choice, i can't really find any other ones any way?

This turbo should be good for close to 500hp, i just don't know what it will do on the 13bt, as i am new upgrading one! Thanks in advance

thats a pretty small a/r, you will get crazy boost response.. but its going to restrict the topend horribly

you want .8 to 1. exhaust

that is way too small, probably smaller then stock on the exhuast side. probably max at 250hp or so....

also the T3 hotside is useless. it won't bolt to the stock manifold. and the hks and aftermarket manifolds are full to4. which is much much better then a hybrid.

which is why I was surprised to find that a gt35/40 uses a t3 footprint....

The 13B can spin a full T04 turbine hot side, but there are people out there who have run the T3/T4 hybrids to some pretty respectible numbers - around 400hp at the wheels.

Anyone who has perused the cheapturbo.com site knows that these turbos are CHEAP (about $500) - hell, cheaper than a T3 "60 trim", which is smaller!

Right now, I don't know of anyone that is offering a mass-produced T3 turbine flange turbo exhaust manifold, so that gets a bit trickey to install. One of the cheapest options is to buy the HKS collected turbo exhaust manifold (< $300) and get a T3 to T4 adapter - I think Turbonetics sells such an adapter.

The GT35 series turbos are a popular choice for the 13B due to it's fast-spooling characteristics. The reason why you can get away with a GT35 turbo is because of the redesigned wheel sections which allow for greater exhaust gas flow, even with the T3 turbine footprint.

hmmmm....... I can get an adapter for pretty cheap. www.lovefab.com (honda products) I guess i can give it a try and see how well it works?

I was hoping someone had actually tried it? I see alot of speculation, i just can't fathom how it would fall off at high rpm, i ran it to 9200 on my 1.8....it just kept pulling. Hell it didn't even begin to buil boost till 4800. I know the physics of th 13bt are completely differant, but its still a 1.3?

I have everything i need but the manifold. I guess i will give my 60-1 a run and worse case scenario, sell it and go bigger?

Rotary 1.3 liters = 3.0 liters piston (think 6-cylinder)
This is the rule of thumb I use when trying to explain turbo sizing versus displacement.
