what are the symptoms of the 4 ports being stuck closed ?




and if it is my problem wich is best whay to wire them open on a 87 t2 and if i take the air pump out what will it afect sence the six port will be wired open


please help !

 

TII engines are 4 port, so no actuators. Taking off air pump can lead to clogged cats as it provides fresh air to cat. If it isn't running well post the symptoms and we can help; someone here has had the same problem for sure.

 

um.... sorry to break the news but t2's dont have 6 ports

 

my bad this is my first t2 but i have had 3 na so i don't know to much about the car yet i have only hade the car about aday and a half or some thing but any way at about 5500and up no power compleatly dead please please help

 

its cool. is your car stock? check the cat and pre cat for clogging. how many miles?

 

ah pretty stock i put a k@n cone filter in and cut off the mufs for now til my ext gets here
118000 k i know alot but it is in perfict conditon
that is the thing if that cat were to be cloged then it wouldn't have really good power down low right?

 

my precat was clogged, affected top end power almost exclusively.

 

oh, slow to spool up the boost as well...
