6 Port Street port HP's

Can anybody tell me the horse power I can expect to reach with a 6 port Street port engine running a Motec Fuel injection. I want to build a SCCA RS car and the rule is restricted to a street port. If any body has any dyno numbers that can be substantiated, I would really apreciate seeing them. Carburated numbers ok also.

Would like numbers with factory apex and ceramic seals if all possible.

Thanks!

If you do want to publish your numbers, you can e-mail me directly at racetech@spiritone.com. I will keep them secret.

the intake port is somewhat mild, but the exauhst is damn near a race port

thats something to go on, wantarx71211. I wonder if you used a standalone or a fuel controller and leaned the bitch out how much HP you'd get.

If its strictly only naturally aspirated, carbed would probably be the easiest way to go about doing this. I have never heard of motec injection, but if the runners are short, and wide and your using a standalone you may get the same #'s as a good carb setup. With fuel injection you still need a plenum and MAP sensor don't you? so that there will decrease volumetric efficiency.. please someone correct me if im wrong.

IF... you are really good. And stay within the rules of SCCA for a street port. (main website has info.. so does Mazdatrix IIRC)
It isnt unheard of for someone to win with 200.. or a scootch less in a national level race.

I had a lot of numbers I had posted.. but realised I dont want to step on toes of builders etc.. But for the sake of argument.. without anyone specific etc.... 200-240 is a good place to shoot for. The average person will prolly not get that within the SCCA world of rules.

Some of the cars at the regional level are scarily low on power. I mean WOW... some of them are bone stock.. some are illegal as hell and still way under on the power curve.

When a couple 240s that are national level competitive.. and "legal", motor the SNOT out of the 1st and 2nd gen EP cars that are regonal level.. all coming off the corner with the Zs behind them.. and the Zs go around.. and CHECK OUT... With the Rebello motors that they paid out the *** for.. well.. they really make it clear what you pay for. You pay for a top level motor.

Now If you are more... let us say.. Outside the rules.. And your definition of Street port.. has liberty... you can get MUCH more power... but it will not be SCCA legal. And they can check with a boroscope very easily with the new rule on street ports.
http://www.mazdatrix.com/sccaportrule.htm

Also... go with unlimited Carburation.. that isnt choked by the rules.. with chokes.. and or FI with a modified Throttle body and or intake.. and you are now outside the SCCA HP numbers and rules.

I was dead set. on getting a carb setup. But i know a guy here in town with the setup i was looking at and he says it runs different every week.
I am not up for all of that.
A nd i am verry happy with the numbers as is.
Because i think drag racing is GAY. and as far as scca goes. The people in my town are all cocky ********. I went to watch acouple of events, and they are all just super cocky around here.
