No I have the earlier iron the plastic washer will fit around it with no support under it.Ive read that when i bought this car with the plastic washer half pinched. The way i been doing it it holds for a few days with nice high numbers but if you pound on it the oil pressure gets funny again. Ive tried all but the square oring like on an oil filter. .I use the oring and sealant.i feel that the inside of this oring should be supported also Has anyone modified this???

Is your front cover oil bypass regulator working?

Don't use sealant.

Supporting the inside of the o-ring is pointless.

Sounds to me like that is what he shimmed. That is why the orings keep blowing. Shimming the front regulator.....blows imho.
