5th/6th aux ports not activating.

Sorry about the spam of new threads, but i want to get a couple of problems taken care of asap

Fairly stock s4, i was wondering if my aux ports actually activated so i went under the hood of my car and depressed the throttle all the way down while looking at the actuators...... They didn't even budge. My car has no problem getting to redline but i feel it could still be faster? i'm not sure....

S4s are activated by exhaust back pressure right? I'm guessing that i have a few exhaust leaks somewhere, most likely at the headers because i can hear a leak in the engine bay + under the car( 3 cats leaking lol) Should i get my headers checked out? if they're leaking i plan on purchasing racing beat headers. Are they loud?

I've heard that headers don't really add much power at all to a rotary engine.

I'll have to try that out. If it doesn't move the grease its safe to assume they're messed up?

I don't care about adding power with headers, i want to replace anything leaking so backpressure can activate the 5/6th ports.

Correct and I'm not sure if they work w/o load so if it does requires load then you either need to take the car for a spin or remove the hose to the pressure/boost sensor, plug the hose and disconnect the TPS to simulate load.

you can push them with your finger if they are working correctly out of the five fc's i've owned only one had working aux ports so i am going to assume yours need to be loosened up.

Our cars only use a header.

One.

Not headers.

Just do this: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/activating-aux-ports-vdi-rpm-switches-907824/. ~$60 and your ports will always open when they're supposed to.

That would be true if the sleeves/actuators were wired open, but it sounds like they're just sitting in the closed position.

If they're closed past 3800 RPM, top end power will be reduced. Torque drops off quickly and you lose roughly 25 peak HP.
