5 beeps from dash???

K. I'm so sick of this beeping noise it's a series of 5 beeps. And everyone says it's the setting sensor not aligned properly. I've aligned it a few times in def positions but it doesn't go away. However if it's beeping when I'm stopped I turn the wheel fully around and it stops the noise for a few minutes. Is the steering sensor broken? Where is the beeping box located and whats it look like? so I can unplug the dam thing till I can get it fixed

under driver side dash, 2x10mm nuts, right under steering column. remove 4 screws, take out your anger on that little black piezo buzzer. justice shall be served.

I don't think pulling the buzzer out counts as a fix.

^^^^ Why wont it count as a fix??? I'd love a good reason. I put everything back together the same way it came out when installing my new hub and the arrows lined up. Nothing is broken on mine, the turn signals still cancel fine, and my power steering works great. So do either you or barkz have the solution to my beeping problem??

Because you didn't fix anything. You just removed the alarm that says it isn't working anymore.

What hub did you use?

Exactly, you didn't fix anything.

It's like "my check engine light is on, I'm going to remove the bulb that illuminates it so it's not bothering me anymore."

Oh well.

Its a Boss hub kit. the plastic clip that cancels the turn signals and such snapped right in so IDK why it is beeping.

And it is different than a check engine light. Nothing is mechanically wrong with it, just the sensor isn't reading right.

In computerese that would be called a "workaround" as opposed to a "fix".

The 10mm nuts removes the silver box that the circuit board is in. remove those and unplug the harness. Once you've got that out, remove the 4 small brass screws around the outside. They are soft so be careful. Pull the cover off the box and you will see the cylindrical thing with the hole in it. Thats the buzzer.

I THINK thats a different buzzer anyway.

The box (and buzzer) in question is just the power steering computer one.

Not to thread jack, but when I did my interior (s5 into s4 swap, my blinker stopped popping back after I turned. I took this as my mistake, however reading this now I feel as if it can be fixed? I never looked into it, any way to fix that?

Read the FSM and it will show you how to properly set the steering wheel as there are alignment marks which needs to aligned to prevent your problem at least it is that way on an S4. And if your front wheels were out of alignment that could also contribute to your problem.
