So a custom spec garrett BB turbo. Is that something like a GT70R ??? The Exhaust side looks a bit big to be a Gt35/40 variant.
you dont have to give out your secret trims/specs, just ABOUT what other turbo its equivalent to would be great. Awesome work by the way....

Thanks for the compliments. I am overall very pleased with the results. I think there is more left in it at the lower boost levels, but I need to modify a few things... which realistically isn't going to happen for some time. I'll keep it as is for a while. I think 500 is certainly achievable witha few other "tweaks".
It is nice to realize the fruits of my labor!!!

Dam Dude. You know I can't spell
I did not recognize that fan shroud on your car. CA RX7. What part #'s did you use.
Thanks,
Ian
Sorry about that guys. I tend to type and not pay attention to how I am spelling. My wife is making fun of me as I type this even
I can't remember exactly what the part numbers are BUT if you look at their online catalog it's the 18" monster fan. They only have one like that. I was told at the time of order that there is only 1 shroud that properly fits that fan and so I went with it... I think it was for a 67 camaro or something.
My radiator is a Mazdacomp, so the external dimensions are the same as the stocker... except thickness obviously.

thanks,
no prob on the spelling. At least you have some grammer skills unlike myself.
Your car is to clean. I've been trying to polish my stuff the same. Did you do that your self or sent it out?
Ian

I did all the polishing myself. Actually, I have done all the work on this car myself, or I should say without professional help. moremazda and J Rat helped as did my neighbors and wife
... but yes, I did the polishing. It really helps to buy an actuall polisher... none of that drill stuff.
Scott, I REALLY want to see that video. I'll have to swing by over the holiday sometime if you're gonna be around and yes, we need Matt's car running

Didn't mean to ignore you Fatty and chris:
The turbo is very simliar to a T04R, except that it's BB. I honestly have no idea what the Gt70R even is as far as wheel trim etc. The turbo is nice but I think a major player in the performance is my custom manifold. Which is the reason that the turbo is positon where it is. I didn't intend for it to be quite that high, but it works very well.
Scott, you gotta get those vids to J-rat.

HOST IT!!!!! That was crazy seeing the manifold glow that way.
I have only seen that on my friends 3/4 ton chevy when we installed cams and had to run the car for a half hour straight without stopping.
