4 to 5 lug conversion

I have some 17" wheels with 4 lugs and 1988 GXL. Is it possible/feasible to convert my GXL to 4 lug from its current 5 lug setup?

Thanks,
Alex

5 lug = more options for rims and better brakes

4 lug = for looks

It would probably be a better idea to sell the 4-lug rims and get some that will fit the GXL.

yea i recommend that you keep the 5 lug setup instead of swapping to a 4 lug. the brakes and all are alot better with the factory 5 lug setup

It will be alot cheaper to just buy new wheels.

I agree. I would much rather sell a set of wheels on Ebay, then buy another set than switch from five to four lugs. The four lug hubs work well and have decent brakes and all, but I wouldn't be willing to downgrade my brakes just to make some wheels fit.

I dont think it would be expensive. you could find someone willing to do the swap. Ive never heard of anyone going 5 to 4. but everyone wants to go 4 to 5.
