As it has been a good summer the roof has been down all the time
I want to change the exhaust as the one on the car at the moment is US
I don’t want something that is Boy racer but has a little bit of 787B
Going to order a new roof for it next month this will have to come from the States as the UK love to rip you off for parts

a racing beat exhaust will probably be your best option if you want the car to sound a bit more aggressive but not too loud that you'll **** off the neighbors.

do you have a turbo or n/a?

Could also just do a downpipe. That would save you the cost of shipping an entire exhaust system and wouldn't bring the dB level up too much. With a presilencer or resonator, it would remove all the cats too.

His profile doesn't indicate either way, but being in England I'd bet he is running the same drivetrane as a TII.

I agree about Racing Beat being your best bet to get to where you want to go. Their downpipe/presilencer combo would get you the best bang for the buck. But a full Rev II (you'll want to get a FCD as well since it will by itself kick up the boost) would get you the best seat of the pants kick for the buck.

ah turbo, I was afraid of that...

you could just get a catback exhaust and live with that, but it wont net you that much because the cats and the downpipe are the biggest restrictions.

if you get a full exhaust on a turbo you could blow your engine without any supporting mods...

it's annoying especially in your situation where all you want is to make it a bit more fun for the wife. Basically the cheapest route to go would be to get an FCD and full exhaust but it carries the risk of you hitting a boost spike and blowing your motor.

The second cheapest option that does not run the risk of you blowing your motor is to get the full exhaust, and then get a 255lph fuel pump, 720cc secondary injectors, and have your ECU chipped with an rtek chip. This level of fuel modification opens the door to other mods too, like an intake or a hybrid turbo or front mount.

with a turbo rx7 its kind of an all or nothing modding scenario. And I'm living proof, I had a full RB exhaust and a FCD with no other mods at all and one cold day... bam! blown motor.

What kind of smog do cars in England need to go through? The main cat. does most of the work once warmed up. If everything else is in good condition you could get an aftermarket downpipe to replace the precat. That will help flow a bit without making things ungodly loud.

If you do to much to exhaust without porting the waste gate the turbo will start over boosting.

If there's no obvious reasons for chucking belts, you should check the bearings and play on both the alternator and the water pump. V-belts are pretty resilient though and you'd have to have a pretty obvious issue to be going through them very quickly.

When you say "back box" you mean the mufflers? Personally I prefer the Racing Beat exhaust sound. You can get their universal ones if you want to make a custom exhaust. Supposedly they make them using a higher gauge steel because the exhaust temps on a rotary are much higher.

- I have no idea what you mean by back box in reference to cat back. Guessing you're talking about the mufflers, the exhaust heat of a rotary engine is WAY higher than a piston. So ordinary mufflers won't stand up to it. I suggest you check the Racing Beat web site.

- You want to buy a Robbins brand top. Ebay is your friend, but find an auto upholstery shop with experience installing soft tope that will install it for you. Definitely not a do it yourself thing.

Hard tops in the US?

- I've never hear of an drop on hardtop like what Mazda made for the Miata. Certainly no aftermarket maker, and I've been driving convertible RX7s almost as long as there have been convertible RX7's. Hell, I've been driving RX7's almost as long as there have been RX7's.

All so how to put photos on hear as I would like to show you a Nice UK Car
