3" all the way back???

k, im trying to piece together my exh. system, and ive hit a speedbump.
the only race (test) pipe ive found is the bonez one ,but its 2.5". im looking for 3" all the way back. so far i have the RB downpipe, and the apex-i N1 "cat" back. so my question(s)...1. who makes a 3" race pipe )i already searched the forum), and 2. if there is a company, will there be any problems with the above mentioned system being pieced together?
thanks in advance

The RB DP is 2.5" not 3" so you already don't have 3". I don't think the N1 is 3" at the connection either, but I may be incorrect.

well your cat back will only be a 2.5" flange... you can't really peice diffent stuff together that wasn't ment for each other. the RB downpipe will only bolt to the RB exhaust, and the cat back will only bolt to the stock cat or replacement race pipe. nothing you can buy will mate the RB downpipe to the catback. you need to have a local shop weld one up. but like I said I'm 99% sure the cat back is only 2.5" which will make that a bit harder.

edit: posted at the same time as dave He just bought to my atention that they make a 2.5" one too (after checking RB site). which one did you buy? if you bought the 2.5" one then any premade mid pipe should work. if you bought the 3" one from the complete system, the above comments stand.

This Down Pipe* is available for custom applications in a 1986-91 RX-7 non-turbo application. (Shown above with optional presilencer) This 2.5-inch down pipe fits either manual or automatic transmission equipped cars.

This down pipe bolts to the stock exhaust manifold, but the use of our presilencer (or a suitable replacement) is required to connect this assembly to the connecting pipe

That is from the RB site. That is their 2.5" DP. I have that DP/presilencer and you have to have them both to make it bolt up to an N1, which I also have currently With that said, I thikn you need their Presilencer to use their 2.5" DP also. I am getting a 3" straight pipe from the turbo to the bumber, with no silencers, mufflers or anything =) How's that for free flowing!

My whole exhaust is for sale to in the forsale side.

RB sells thier '3" turbo back system' downpipe seperatly too, so he might have that.

Anyways, it would work without some custom fabrication, which is why i still say the best full 3" bolt on system is the racing beat turbo back system.

I think he got the 3"... but "the krza", answer back dam it!

"3-inch Down Pipe* This 3.15-inch (80mm) down pipe is a direct replacement for the down pipe in the Racing Beat Complete TURBO II Exhaust System. This down pipe is intended as a bolt-on component ONLY if used with the Complete Exhaust System components.

Supplied with a 3.15-inch (80mm) outlet flange, this down pipe can also be used for as the “lead” component in a custom exhaust application. $125"

Buying it is easy. Bending it is another story. Cutting SS for a good weld just plain sucks. IMO you would be better off just getting an entire kit from one retailer.

i havent purchased anything yet, im just trying to get some info on the stuff before i order anything...im sure SOMEONE has a 3" turbo back that ISNT racing beat. also, since (according to fc3s.org's assumption) if the flange is only 2.5 in, then i should be *somewhat* ok with the bonez pipe, correct? and if i am, what to do with the RB DP?? ahh ****, why cant anyone besides RB make a turbo back exh, and just make my life that much easier?!?!

Who me? I like the idea of the straight 3" pipe. Anyone know how loud that is? It is alot of pipe, so I wouldn't think it would be that bad. I'll see soon enough!

My exhaust...

3" Racing Beat downpipe
3" Racing Beat pre-silencer (mates with the downpipe)
(Yes, you can buy these two pieces SEPARATELY.)
Custom 3" back to a single Walker Dynomax UltraFLO 3" in/out muffler
Can you say LOUD?

You can get the front two pieces custom made, but the RB pieces are reasonably priced ($120 and $180 respectively?).&nbsp If you want the A'PEXi N1 muffler, just buy the muffler (universal) and then get some shop to weld in 3" piping in between.

Don't both with the cat-backs, as you're wasting your money cause you're going to have to cut them up in the end.

just wanted to throw in my 2 cents since i have a 3inch downpipe all the way back with know emssions what so ever. I had to go to a local preformance shop so they could just make a 3inch pipe all the way back to the n-1. Its LOUD. i cant describe the sheer volume my car makes. On a good late night ive let friends drive to the store in my car while i sit outside and listen. i can here my car for like 5 min straight, more than over a mile away clear as day. The daytona beach police department doesnt think its so cool though. which has resulted in numerous tickets. But thats still not to mentioned the 2-3 foot flames that roll out the back. its nuts

I've got a 3" frontpipe from RS*R. It replaces the downpipe and midpipe together. All this for a mere $110 (but you have to go to Japan to pick one up :p ).
