2in to a 3in, what kind of difference will there be?

So im running a 2in straight pipe with no cats(n/a) and stock downpipe, and I was wondering what differences in sound will i be getting if i went with this used racing beat down pipe and 3in exhaust? alsoo what kind of hp i will be getting if any difference.

Here is also the link if you wanna see the exhaust
http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/pts/2064065986.html

I am happy with the current exhaust I have but i wonder if its worth a buy.

Holy cow, your running an N/A with straight pipes? The racing beat mufflers and exhaust system will make the car sound like it's suppose to, as opposed to the wrath of a thousand squirrels.

EDIT: just noticed that muffles isn't a racing beat unit. The RB header will increase noise even more. The muffler I have no idea, but I do know it will be loud, but it sure will be somewhat quieter than no muffler. The seller is right, it will put any Harley to shame and then some.

I was thinking just removing the muffler because I don't like tenzo R and replace it with a racing beat.

So would you consider this a good buy?

it will just be LOUDER and even more pointless.

the header will increase power but there's NO reason to have such an un-muffled exhaust on a street car.

3" is excessive on an NA without bridge porting or p-porting. 2.5" is more appropriate. The header is good, but LOUD. You need a resonator/presilencer and a good pair of mufflers to tame the noise.

My old S5 had an RB Header, with a pre-silencer and two two mufflers, flowmasters, sounded AMAZING. But it was incredibly loud.

a jet landing, or putting your head between two 150 watt loud speakers and turning them all the way up. the kinda loud that aids in hearing/memory-loss.

so loud that when you park your car i'm going to stuff as much garbage in your tail pipe as i can without you seeing me.

if it's not a race car it shouldn't sound like one.

where do you live? so i can avoid that area...

get the racing beat and use the stock manifold, at least it will be tolerable. bleeding ears isn't worth maybe 5 crank horsepower.

also, being too loud and obnoxious is bad attention. meaning i dislike that people drive around in obnoxious RX7s because then someone may see mine and lump us together somehow. make it sound decent without the obnoxiousness.

Like the above posters noted, it's ridiculously loud. I used to run a straight pipe. N/A S5 2" from the header, 2.5" straight pipe, then onto a 80mm (3.149" I think?) single exit muffler. Talking to passengers is almost non-existent and thinking in my own head was hard enough. Car alarms go off blocks away and every cop has an eye on you. If you're happy with what you got, then there's no need to buy something you don't need.

I didnt expect to be "that" much louder, i thought it would be just deeper.

So what i should probably do is just save my money and get a decent exhaust (racing beat)
