Talking 220k miles

i just wanted to post that my friends 88 turbo2 has 220 miles on it with no rebuild .of course its been taken care of extremely well, and has been in the same family since 88. and there is an 86 t2 with 217k miles for sale near me.from the original owner who says its never been rebuilt. and my cousin has a 1984 with 240k and has been delivering pizza for 10 years in it.and its never been rebuilt. this is just a testimony to how much these cars rule. and how long they can last,oh yeah mine has 150k and runnnig strong.

oh yea? well i have an 87 T11 with 45000 miles on it. And she still runs strong. I've had mixed results with these cars though, used to own a 86 non turbo and she spend more time in the shop than she did ANYWHERE else. But i love these cars regardless, there's nothing else like them.

209345 miles on my 87 base 2+2... still pulls strong enough, and corners fast enough to scare the crap out of my passengers :-D

heh, some girl told me I didn't know how to drive... I proved her wrong. tee hee hee. Our cars are great, even when they've had almost enough miles to have gone around the world... 10 times!!!

my N/A has 160k(half are race miles...hehe) and pulls very strong. I can still beat the crap outta any newer turbo civic, tiburon, celica, eclipse with only straight pipe and intake. if only they knew how it felt to be a rotary owner!

Congrats on the engine life. It seems like we only hear bad stories. Go onto forums for other cars and you don't have all these roasted engine stories.

As for the 86TII, Most likely it's an 1987 model they bought in 1986. We needn't be so ****.

I'd rather have fun delivering pizzas than drive a honda for 10 years.

I thought that delivering pizzas for 10 years was only acceptable if it was in an RX-7. You have to have a reason for sticking with it!

i know the older t2 was an 86 or 87,if there is no such thing as 86,then its an 87,it looks almost identical to my na except for hood scoop/t2 logo... on the 88,the compression was very low,but still running good, and the motor was replaced with a j-spec with around 15k on it.but the 220k motor still lives, its just sitting in a garage corner waiting for a rebuild. as for the 217k 1987 t2,i drove it and it ran a lil shaky, but strong, and smoked a lot anywhere past 3.5 4k rpm's,i know the seals were prolly toast but it still ran strong. and the update on the 84. its my cousins who lives about two hours from me,and i called him to get the exact mileage today, and it had just passed 207k miles, when it passed into the afterlife. you guys should see the 88t2,its friggin neet, ill try to get car/engine pics. i delivered pizza for 2 years
