2-cycle Oil premix. Any Problems?
I'm asking all of those people who had experience with the Oil premix setup on rx7. Did you have any problems with it? So far form what I have read there are only benefits have not seen anything negative on this mod. I'm worried about the engine, as we all are; I want to make sure this setup does not damage it.

You mean should you pre-mix? I'd say EVERY RX-7 owner should pre-mix. Use only 2 cycle oil made for premixing, don't use marvel mystery oil or regular motor oil or synthetics.

Well not exactly I am actually planning to remove OMP ( oil metering pump), and oil lines, and oil injectors. (had to replace the intake manfold gasket and broke the 2 oil lines. Not only they are relatively expensive, $24, but also pain the but to put them back in and it is easier to just remove the hole system)

A 16oz bottle is 89 cents US money and it takes up less room than a coolant bottle which is part of my own emergency kit anyways so I don't fret over it. And its only 30 seconds more at the pump. I basically do this: use my credit card to pay at the pump and while it is authorizing the car I pour it in. By the time I am done I just grab the fuel nozzle and pump.

Uhh? I don't need to use a funel? maybe your 2-stroke oil comes in funny bottles over there in the US of A, but every single 2-stroke oil i've tried in my car I could just pour straight in from the bottle.
Also every bottle I've used has had a handy little measuring 'window' on the side, so you can tell how much you've put in.

But ya the bottles here don't have long necks..if they did i'd just pour it in straight. I'm using the Castrol brand 2-stroke oil...over here it comes in little 500mL bottles.

the ones i buy that dont have long necks i use a screwdriver to open the little flapper that prevents the fuel from comeing back up. other than that, i love premix, its a pain in the *** some times, but worth it. also, try not to get premix at gas stations, 16oz from a gas station is ~3.68$, compared to 16oz from walmart .89$ i buy the premix in a gallon ~6.00$ at walmart and use the same bottles over and over, i have about 5 i fill up when i get low in the bin.

I wouldn't use just any 2 stroke oil. It should be TCW-3 certified. It's a cerification after going through rigorous testing such as clean burning and ash content.
I've used Valvoline Multi Purpose 2 stroke for 3 years now. I'll never use anything else after seeing the internals when rebuilding after 2 years of use.

The good thing about the Valvoline is it has marks on the side of the bottle indicating how many oz. there are left in the bottle. Really helpful so you don't have to "eyeball" it.
Those who say it takes too much time is waaaay too f*ckin lazy. It takes what.....an extra minute or less to fill oil a few ounces of oil.
Those who have leaking injectors or suspect you have them, it will smoke somewhat on startup since it seeps into the combustion but that lasts a couple minutes or so.
