Arrow 2+2 Back Seats !!

Ok, I'm SICK and TIRED of being a ****** chauffeur for all my friends in my tiny FC3S. I ALWAYS have to give someone extra a damn ride, so that makes 3 people in my car. And THEN they always ****** complain about how cramped they are back there and how i shoulda gotten a "better" car If I yank em out and replace the original storage bins, I'll have some extra storage space. I ususally just drive my best friend around and then some other friend wants a ride too I'm pretty sure someone'd DIE back there if i ever got into an accident too....

I still have the original bins. You all think i should just put the bins back and be done with it? It'll weight a little less too. Who knows, I might just sell 'em to someone who wants em (they are the same color as my interior, blue).

GGRRRR

PS - I picked 'em up for $200 from the local RX-7 shop.

Mine is from the factory. Very rare on a 89+ car. I try not to drive too many people because they always make the car look ghetto

When I was shopping and ended buying my sport back in 87, one of the things I was making sure of that there was no back seat.

I was replacing my 82 Celica GT-S and didn't want to get stuck with always driving everyone in my car. With two seats you don't have to.

By the way hyperdaddy7 you can get a big ticket well alone kill a unrestrained person if you ever get in an accident with some one in the back area.

Well, I have a '88 GXL and the rear seats are a bit too small. In fact the only use they get in my car is to hold my CD's, and thats a challenge. The seats only hold maybe 10 or 12 cases in their bottom after that I start looking for other places to put them. Also, the passenger side rear seat has my CD stacker/changer on the floor so no fully grown adult could ever use that seat. And the one behind me is useless because my seat is pushed nearly all the way to the back.

Bottom line is these seats are for tiny Japanese asses, not big, fat, soft, corn fed, American ham hock asses.

But Ya never know. I voted for 'em.

i Love not having a back seat, whenever i go to a party i immediately say "I cant drive, i only have 2 seats."

i think the interior looks much better with the storage bins

Thumbs up

How about the FC's that didnt come with back seats OR Bins!!

LOL a double negative.

Well I got my back seats and rear carpet and sides all for $250 at the Salvage yard ( I refuse to say Junker if there are RX-7s in there )

The main reason I got it was because I always gave an extra firend or 2!! a ride. Some times 30 minute rides when we went out some where!!!

now that they all ahve their own car I have no need for them exect to scre my amp to the back of the seat.

The bins are excellent storage compartemnt for extra stuff, BUT with the seat down, you still have room in there to store stuff.

I agree with Justin, back seats invite all your freinds to want to come along.

i have definatly had people lying down in the hatch before.. sucks because you have to drive a lot more carefully, so that you donot through them around and break something in the car..

perhaps one of these days i will look for some back seats. but then again, there is definatly something to be said about driving a two seater import sports car.

Ahhhh.. I'd like to do that but I'm just too nice of a guy Besides they're too cheap to pay

The ONLY time i ever get paid for gas is when i let Protege Menace drive my car, he pays for what he uses.

When I had an Accord and then a Prelude, it was rare that anyone rode in the back anyways, so I bought the rear seats for my TurboII, just because it might happen occasionally when someone needs a ride..

If someone complained about the space, I'd tell them to get the hell out, or drive them to the most ghetto part of the city and leave them there..

I had bins in my 1st FC, have seats now in my 2nd FC. I prefer the seats. Handy if I want to do **** with more than 1 other person. Before, if someone extra was coming along, they'd have to cram in the back (like everyone else here has described.) Well, y'know how brittle all the plastic is in our cars - if passenger #3 scooched around the wrong way and put weight on the bins or even caught a shoe or pant leg on them - CRUNCH!

The seats only hold maybe 10 or 12 cases in their bottom
I've got a Pioneer 6 disc changer in the glove compartment so I can reach it while I'm driving. I pick out CDs before I go and slap them in one or both of the magazines and my rear seats aren't stuffed with CDs/jewel cases waiting to get crushed. And I leave the seatback down 95% of the time. The gap underneath becomes a nice spot to store stuff (just like the bins, only a tad less space - and try storing long snowbrush in a bin) that you don't want people to see from outside, like extra magazines so they don't know you've got a player in the car.

Yeah, everybody who's been in the back has bitched. But they quickly stfu cuz it's still better than walking, or else if they're pissing me off I'll punch it around a corner or two and they usually get the message.

ttyl,
Amur_

I bought my car for driving only. I appreciate my friends giving me rides when my cars is down but there is just one of me and I will give any one of them a ride but when you have more than 300lbs in the car (my best friend weighs 230 :-(...) it doesn't do as well. I say ditch them. It's a sports car after all, not a grocery getter.

and if you are going to a party, take someones van. you don't want to DRIVE to a party because you never DRIVE away from a party. You walk, stumble, crawl, or cab, or sleep on the porch.

I got my back seat about 4 1/2 years ago before my first son was born. It was either that or another car. I can't imagine full sized people sitting back there but they hold a car seat pretty great.

Keep them in!!! They r good for going to parting and bring your friends with u and then the next night they owe u a ride and u getta drink.
Also what r ya going to do if girls want a ride?! just ditch them ??
Also what would taking them out do?? makes the car look uglier unless u have your sub box all the ways to the front. Its better for storage because your stuff isnt always slidding around.

I voted to take them out. No way in hell would I want a backseat in my FC...

I hate having people riding in the backseat of my PGT and I'm sure that even that tiny seat is more accomodating than one would be in an RX-7.

I just don't like the way the car feels when it's loaded down with people, and I hate giving rides anyway. Yank 'em out.

Yeah I HATE that feeling. The car is all sluggish and and LEANS when cornering. Thing is very few of my friends have cars... Not saying theyre bad friends at all, just poor (and YES we are all 18+ )

Yeah 3 people is at least 450lbs. That's going over the capacity for the car. I'm just gonna take 'em out and keep em in storage so if i ever NEED them they'll be there.

I mean it's not like i have any kids to haul around or anything Those seats WERE NOT made for full size people.

Oh, and the girls can always sit on each other in the passanger seat... maybe one on my lap too
