1990 GTU rearend (auto) / Keep or toss..???

I have a rearend from my 1990 GTU automatic. Is this gear ratio good for anything..??? Since I switched over to a TII rearend it's been sitting in my garage taking up ALOT of space, for what, I have no idea...??? But I know if I throw it away without asking, next week I'll see a post saying the GTU auto gears are good for set-ups with gooobs of torque... lol

So throw away or not to throw away....??? Thanks.

I had a couple of rear-end that I ended up trashing because no one wanted them locally and they are not worth shipping.

Just try to sell it. If no one wants it, it is worth around $1 in scrap metal.

Some of the V8 guys like the 3.9 rears, you can try selling it “over there”.

I just gave one away recently. I was glad to have it gone.

Theyre worthless. Some of the s4 GXLs were auto, and had an LSD 3.9. Some of the v8 guys will take those, but they want no part of a one-legger.

Not to mention that, to them, it's a big compromise to run the NA rear versus the turbo rear to begin with, so it's hard to move the NA 3.9 LSD's.
