Try looking under the hood instead of "everywhere".

You will have a fuse for ABS. Or get it in and slam the brakes! I know mine came with almost everything imaginable and it doesn't have abs (thank god).

Use this as an opportunity to start learning about what's under your hood. Pick a system, like "brakes" or "cooling", and figure out what's what and how it works (howstuffworks.com is a good start).

Just to add, in '88 it was an option on the GXL and Turbo only.

In a normal car, the brake lines will run from the master cylinder to a proportioning valve. Then they will go directly to the wheel cylinders and/or calipers. Some may run directly from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve.

The Master Cylinder is exactly what its name implies. It supplies the rest of the brake system with fluid and it controls all other components of the brake system. As such, it's gotta be located somewhere near where you'd be able to control it with your brake pedal. (Look in your owner's guide or look under the hood for a cap labeled, "Brake Fluid.") It's right in front of where you'd be sitting as you drive.

On an ABS equipped car, the lines will run from the master cylinder and proportioning valve to a hydraulic ABS module that includes a pump and valves which will regulate the brake pressure. There are electronic sensors at each wheel that detect if a wheel has started turning slower than the others, indicating that it is slipping. A computer compares data from each of these sensors and controls the hydraulic module. The module will then limit pressure to that brake caliper or wheel cylinder.

On the RX-7, it is located on the passenger side. back by the hood hinges... However since you don't have it, there will not be a module there.
