1988 N/A Rx7 Idle Issues (Video Included)
Hello, first post here and first experiences with a rotary.
I own two of these cars now, this red 88 with the N/A still in it, and an 87' with no drive train and completely stripped inside.
I bought the red one from a junk yard that had it about a month. It was taken in on the cash for clunkers from some guy who didn't want his grandma's old car. The car reads 187k miles. I bought it with it being listed as having "a blown head gasket." Which after doing some research, they don't even have. My question is, does this sound rough? Is it, for what it is, fine?
Now obviously there is some issue happening, if you skip towards the end of the video, you'll see I rev the engine a bit then it dies. What would've caused this, and how can I fix it? I'm thinking it may be a vacuum leak. I'm lead to that because I've changed all the fluids, including gas. Changed the fuel pump and the filter, as well as the battery. So it has gas, it has spark, only thing left is air.
Suggestions please?

Idle doesn't sound that bad but there's a big lack of information, was that a cold start? warm start? Does it die both when cold and fully warmed up? how do the spark plugs look? does it cold start at a higher idle and then come down as it warms up?
If you want to check the health of the engine get it compression tested. You can pull any error codes if you build this very simple tester FC3S Pro v2.0:  How-To - Zenki FC3S Error Codes since S4 didn't have a check engine light.
As for what caused it to die could be a number of things. could be a vacuum leak, might be a bad AFM, possibly the TPS or any other number of things with such a vague base to go off of.
