that car is nice.. get rid of the tow hitch. other than that its great... i just got a TII for $700. lol and its in the shop for $400 worth of work.

but anyway. jump on that car, its a good start.

Looks good - but a few questions:

Has it been in an accident? I ask because you are missing the "TURBO II" stickers on the side, as well as the TII side skirts. Right now it seems to have the "sport" model rubber winglets. Is this right or am I out to lunch?

Any compression #'s?

How's the interior?

The side skirts you mention were only available on the 89-91 T2s. The 88 T2 came with the sports aero package.

You know what I just realized? The single wiper, or "Uniwiper" is kinda like a Unibrow. Big, ugly, and a pain to get rid of.

That uniwiper looks like a giant red zit on that black car. I'd REALLY ditch it quick.

Yes, ditch that single wiper ****. I'd remove that red crap from the radiator intake too. I'd keep the tow hitch if you're planning to track it, you can get a little trailer for your tires and a couple of gas cans.

Thanks guys...I just got home from work....installing a dsl satellite. Yeah Im gonna switch the wipers and wipers switch from my 87 TII. I dont know why it doesnt have the Turbo II written on the side, but it had Turbo written in red cursive on the back. 50k on the new motor, 108k on the body. Not to be a ricer or anything but I kinda like the red grill stuff..its kept many a large grasshopper and bugs out of the radiator in only 5 days. And the red mesh over the driver side FTP lense keeps it in because the studs are broken and i think it would look dumber with only 1 mesh. And hey...i like my hood ornament....she is VERY aerodynamic trust me

if you are going to keep the mesh at least repaint them black, I'm sorry but that whole color scheme just doesn't look too good. Great find btw

Yep, good find! Any deal for a running T2 for around a grand is a good deal! I guess we all agree about the uni wiper... Good luck/skill with her!

ok ok guys...the mesh on the lenses will go. im thinking of just taking the FTP lenses out totally until i can get a new driver's side. Yeah Zach it has been burned in the back. Here is the story... it was sitting at the previous owner's house and his neighbors were having a huge domestic dispute like kicking and hitting and just a knock down drag out so the owner of the rex called the cops on his neighbors. His neighbors found out and the neighbor took his wife's clothes and put them on the back of the car and lit them on fire with lighter fluid. It burned the rear bumper,rear spoiler, tail lights, and partially the hatch. Ive already changed over the bumper and tail lights from my 87 TII parts car i just havent had time to change over the hatch or do anything too hard, but im hoping to do the TID mod and gut the cats. and probably remove emissions

thanks all...ive got a few questions...if i do the TID mod, with a cone filter, and gut the cats on the stock exhaust size will i hit fuel cut?
