not everything is supposed to be plugged to something. that green plug (3 prong?) is likely your diagnostic connector. post pics.

The plug I am talking about has about 12 pins and is located directly to the top left of the fuse box with the harness connected to the box

Also is there normally a boost/pressure sensor on the 87 N/A, because on the replacement ecu harness that came with the car does not have a spot for it but on the harness i have on the car now it does and the sensor is located under the maf sensor

Yes there would be a Pressure sensor and it would have 4 wires to the plug and it is part of the Emission harness. Wire colors are Brown/White, Brown/Red, Black and Black/White.

The solenoid reistor box was used on 86 cars and half way through 87 so if the harness is past 87.5 then it won't be on the harness.

The solenoid resistor box is used in concert with low impedance injectors used on the early S4's. If you have low impedance injectors then you need the box. If you don't have low impedance injectors, but rather have high impedance injectors, then you don't need it. Pull the plug off of a secondary injector and with the multimeter set to ohms place a meter lead on each of the two injector terminals and take the ohm reading. If its two or three ohms then you have low impedance injectors and thus need the box.

man oh man this is becoming quite a bit more of a challenge then i was expecting lol. the secondary injectors are the ones that are visible just under the air intake on the throttle body correct?

i found a diagnosis the primary injectors were cracked like hell and all 4 injectors were not in properlyon the fuel rail and neither of them were bolten down properly. After replacing the injectors all 4, started it up and heard the biggest backfire i have ever heard in my life, killed the engine and explained to the neighbours and parents what happened and let my ears stop ringing. Went back out and got the car to fire right up no problem and a couple of times since then. i have gotten the car to idle (Y) success. except its idling way too high had it down to maybe 3000-2500 idling
