Smile 1986 NA S4 RX-7 Fuel Pump Replacement Suggestions - Australia

Hi all,
I have tried my best to search here, as well as on the "Aus/NZ thread", but can not find a definitive answer outside of "DO NOT USE A WALBRO 255 ON AN NA" or "Source an OEM".

I would like to know what fuel pump replacements others have used that would be a near straight swap for a tiring OEM pump/filter?

I have looked into Amayama for a replacement OEM, but they have the hanger assembly, but not the pump itself, as it is NLA. (https://www.amayama.com/en/part/hkt/gip602)
They do however suggest a replacement (Non-OEM) of HKT GIP602, which I have never heard of. Is that something I should be trying to find?

I do see that there are "kits" for adapting Non-OEM/Walbro pumps, like this one: https://www.streetfx.com.au/walbro-f...v70Q_qvf8Fv2hq
Is that something I would need as well?

I am also aware of others using the Walbro 255 with no perceivable issues long-term, so perhaps that's just a myth, or they have a FPR/Damper somewhere....

Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I wasn't aware that people have had issues running a walbro pump on an NA car. Do you have any links or sources to those conversations? I

Sure!

A guy I speak with on Ausrotary seems to be running one on his NA, but I haven't asked about if he's running an external Fuel Pressure Regulator, too.

Sourcing and OEM (which seems to be the only option) is near on impo$$ible in AUS.

I would go aftermarket, but I've not seen any suggestions that gives me much confidence...
