16 volt battery? Will it work for the S5?
I checked all the wiring and connections in my car, changed the alternator, and changed the corroded battery terminals. I start the car, and im still getting 10 volts! I then decided to buy a 16 volt racing battery which will hopefully get the juice I need to start the car....problem is, will the car be able to take that much voltage without doing any damage?

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
you have a problem with your wiring sir, a 16 volt battery is no the way to fix your problem, but it could make things worse for ya.. besides you would need a 16 volt alternator to charge the 16 volt battery, not to mention the 16 volt battery chargers are another $300.00

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
16 volts is exceeding the maximum voltage into the ECU and will result in light bulbs and electronics burning out.
What is the 12 volt battery reading??? Sure you just don't have a bad battery???

do a ground check, corroded battery terminals is only the beginning. Check to see if the wirings going to the alternator is not corrodded as with all the other harness grounds

How are you measuring this voltage? If you're using the stock gauge please use a proper voltmeter on the battery itself before posting again.
