15 psi ?!?!
ok, I’m sorry if this question sounds totally retarded but my car is boosting higher than it once did.
The car has a manual boost controller mounted by the steering column, its made by racing beat. My fuel is controlled by an HKS F-con. The car runs just great! It has 20,000 miles on the motor but some times at 6,000 RPMS the boost goes to exactly 15 psi. It never goes past 15 but that’s with the boost setting on the boost controller all the way low. ??? Its just a **** style…turn to the right, boost goes up. But all the way off it still spikes at 15 PSI. Is this very very bad? Oh by the way The gauge that I’m reading this off of is a Autometer gauge, so I’m pretty sure its accurate. Ok thanks a lot.

when did you notice it "went up"
Did you install any new parts just before?
or maybe...
it was ok and then you messed with the manual boost controller?
could be that...
you let a honda buddy mess with anything on your car.
If it has been to a lower boost before and one day it changed without modding something then i would say you gained flow.. (exhaust major leak, T.I.D clamp came off, ect..) Or the waste gate hose came off.
I had a buddy with a series four tii and the twin scroll was acting up... well not really acting up... more like stayed closed all the time. anyway it would boost to 15 psi all the time.. but made no power.
info like if the car idles good or not would help to.

The car ideals just below 1,000 rpms and never moves, the only thing I have done to the car that has anything to do with the turbo charger system is a made a intercooler sprayer, that seems to make it the boost even at lower levels feel much better. The boost controller just seems kind of old. Basically it’s a button, that you can push but on the outside of the button is threads, as you turn the **** down ageist the threads the button gets pushed down bit by bit. Before the boost controller **** all the way off would be 13psi now its 15psi, can it just be crapy boost controller? If I do turn it up it will go to like 30...I have never had it passed 20, and that was an accident.
