13b-re into fc3s turbo.
Asmost know on here my engine blew. Now i have an opportunity to get a 13b-re for cheap and just want to now what im looking at getting it running.
I have Power Fc, single turbo, upgraded pump and fmic. Also comes witht the mounts. What am i looking at wiring wise? Thanks for any help. I searched google and have an idea just thought maybe someone on here had done it.

Not any more challenging then a 13b-t, just need to wire up the TPS, which there is a how-to on our site. Banzai Racing Cosmo TPS Connector

the 13B cosmo swap is actually delightfully simple, buy Banzai's mount, and then it pretty much is a bolt in.
you can use the S5 na or turbo wiring harness, which is the reason its so simple. the FC CAS drops right in... the only sensor you need to redo is the TPS, 4 wires...
if you can use the FC water pump assembly, then you can keep the FC belts/hoses/fan, which again makes it simple.
the FC turbo will also bolt right up, and then you can use any off the shelf FC exhaust.
i think you need to make some oil cooler lines, but that's easy
the hardest part really, is that you need a front mount IC

Also this one doesnt have fuel rails so I will probally need to purcase some since they are unique to the cosmo. I will basically need to swap flywheels and bolt this sucker in.
No idea what you are reading, S4 & S5 water pump housings are both a bolt on. We are using the S4.
Fuel rails are at the link I gave above. If you have a lightweight flywheel it will bolt directly to the Cosmo counterweight

The motor im buying is also coming with you're brackets for install. What do you suggest for primaries? I will be placing an order for the oil cooler hoses, Rails, and i guess injectors. YEs my car is an 89 s5 so i have the flywheel covered.

don't do it, its a trap! the cosmo engine is really easy, but the FD engine is much harder.
i'm wrapping up an FC-REW swap (FCD?), and out of the engine swaps its the hardest. its also completely pointless, just put the FD upper on the T2 engine and say its an FD engine.

LOl i love it!
There are a couple of reasons on why I decided on a REW instead of the RE:
1 - Used irons are easier to come by
2 - New irons are easier to get (somewhat cheaper too if memory serves me correct)
3 - No CAS
When talking about S5 13BT, the REW has thicker dowel area, seems like this only applies when buying used.
Yes i did KNONFS!and for the driver used the stock s5 bracket modified 2 use the top bolt on the REW center iron and one of the front bolts on the front iron.Got a set of shorter semisolid engine and tranny mounts and now my REW sit lower that the S5 block and it clears my hood with my RE intake manis.
I am glad i saw this thread. I am going down the same path swapping my S4 TII to 13-re. I have quite a few questions as well...
1. I have a cleaner S5 n/a shell than the S4 TII shell. Can iput the RE in the S5 and use the S4 TII ecu/harness? Am i complicating the process by putting the RE in the S5?
2. Do i have to get an RE MAF or can i use my S4 TII MAF?
3. The flywheel. I understand that i can use the S5 flywheel. Does it have to be TII? And i hope this isnt a silly question, but i HAVE to use a counterweight regardless of what flywheel right? I thought i read somewhere that if you use the S5 flywheel then the counterweight isnt needed. That doesn't sound accurate, but i thought i should ask.
I hate to thread jack, but i don't want to.make another thread.
