13 BT Problems.. Help!!!!

Ok so, in august last year i bought my car(2nd gen rx-7(13B.T)) with 97,000km, But i wasnt able to get my license until now, so i couldnt drive my car because i had to pay it off and i couldnt afford that insurance and gas. So i started it like every 2 weeks to a month in the winter to make sure it was okay, and it just needed a boost. So i got it registered/insured today, and i was driving it only medicore hard only around 4500-5500RPM shifts sometimes, it was running Great with great power great boost, great spool, and smooth powerband, until i took a small rip over to my friends house and i got there fine it boosted great and i parked it, and i came out half an hour later, jumped in my car to go, backed away and there was a medium sized leak on the ground, and i didnt think much of it, a little bit of coolant or something, but as soon as i hit 3500 in my car on the drive away, its like it lost all power, gained it back for a split second, lost it again, in a very sharp jolty manor, very fast jolts, and i couldnt get passed 4000 RPM. So i turned around quickly because i didnt want to further hurt it. And when i get it up to whatever rpm when it is parked and in neutral, there is no power loss its a smooth band all the way to top rpms.

I just spent a bunch of money getting this thing on the road and its already died on me, any help would be great in as to what i should do, or what i need to buy.

Oh and the guy i bought off of, his name is Richard Bilow and he owns Refine Auto Salon here in calgary, he was a great guy, but i thought i would just speak that too.

thanks guys

Is there any moisture in the oil? Sounds like you may have cooked the motor, the temp guage may not have shown an increase in temps if there was no water in the system. Doesn't sound good...

So was the leak coolant? If you had a coolant leak spraying around the engine bay, it could have made it's way into important electrical connectors (CAS, etc.).

Sounds like you didn't store the car properly, so you will need to do a complete tuneup as a first step.

Figure out what the leak was and it might help you trouble shoot the problem further.

Hey everyone

I figured out the leak was oil which is not good

The car has smooth accel all the way up to redline when parked and in neutral

As soon as i take it into gear, its like the second the turbo would regularly spool, is when i start getting the rough power surges and jolts.

And the oil leak is pretty substantial.

Find the oil leak first. Maybe you popped a cooler line.

As for the hesitation, the first thing to check are all your grounds:

However this car has been sitting so it's possible the fuel system is totally junked up. The secondary injectors could be clogged.

Ok, i am going to check the ECU gruond on friday, when i actually have time
I am also going to change the fuel filter.

I dont think the secondary injecvtors could be clogged, because it didnt have the
problem at all when i drove for the first part of that day

If there was sludge in the fuel lines, it probably just took a bit of driving to get it circulated through the lines where it found a convenient place to clog.
